The Government of Mexico launched the national platform Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G), which identifies and incubates the most innovative public-private partnerships to drive sustainable economic growth around the world.
As a national P4G platform, the government of Mexico seeks to establish itself as a leader within the green economic growth movement.
With the leadership of the Ministries Chile Mobile Number List of Economy, Environment and Natural Resources and Foreign Affairs, this initiative is crucial at the forefront of green economic growth. The secretariats will host this platform in Mexico, which began with financing from the government of Denmark.
The secretariats, in collaboration with business leaders, local governments and sustainability professionals across the country, will help identify and support partnerships in Mexico that offer innovative sustainability solutions. Mexico recognizes P4G as a fundamental actor in taking the next steps to unite organizations, companies and governments around the world in the search for a sustainable future.
“P4G looks forward to working with the Mexican government, the private sector and civil society to promote innovative partnerships that can drive the new climate economy in Mexico,” said P4G Global Director Ian de Cruz. "Mexico can play an important role regionally in the adoption of clean transportation such as electric buses, clean energy and energy efficiency in buildings, all of which can generate economic, environmental and health benefits for the country."
To be considered for P4G support, partnerships must include public, private and civil society partners. In addition, they must focus on projects in one or more developing countries and offer a commercially viable solution on one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in food and agriculture, water, energy, cities and circular economy.
In 2018, P4G selected 24 partnerships to receive facilitation support and/or funding to advance their projects, out of nearly 450 applications from more than 80 countries.
